Direct Sales Agent Specialist – Direct Auto Insurance

The Direct Sales Agent Specialist is responsible for the profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales and understanding customers' needs to build rapport and trust. This position drives sales, builds and retains a book of business within the market/retail location, and attracts and generates new customers while cross‑selling existing customers, supporting our product offerings—including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance.

The role sells to walk‑in customers, markets products outside the office via marketing calls and in‑person visits, and helps customers in the office.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of experience
  • P&C licensing (preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company
Preferred Skills & Competencies
  • Successfully close sales of insurance and ancillary products
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales, cross‑sell and retention of customers
  • Leverage community contacts to continually build a sales pipeline and maintain an active physical presence in the community
  • Initiate outbound calling to an established target customer base for product offerings
  • Monitor key competitors and suggest initiatives to improve the company's market position
  • Work with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals
  • Deliver optimal results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance, and comply with all rules, procedures, and standards
  • Understand, promote, and stay current on company underwriting guidelines, announcements, and memos related to policy changes
  • Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify reports of receipts for cash drawers

Compensation

Base compensation: $20.00 per hour.

Total compensation may include incentive pay, such as commissions and bonuses, based on individual and team performance.
