At Welsh, the role of a Help Desk consultant is to provide Level 2 and Level 3 phone/help desk support to serve our growing client base. Working from our Braintree office, this role encompasses many different facets of the services we provide. Overall, it is our intention to provide efficient support and maintain our clients' infrastructure with minimal downtime. The candidate to fill this position will be challenged on a daily basis working in an energetic, fast paced, collaborative, demanding and results-oriented work environment.
We are looking for a candidate that interacts and develops rapport with client personnel. The ideal candidate will come equipped with strong troubleshooting abilities aided by the ability to think critically in all types of situations. Fundamentals and basic job tasks will include standard network administration, resolving end user issues remotely, monitoring remote systems, antivirus and VPN support.

24-36 months on a help desk with increasing responsibilities. Working knowledge of server environments, with a minimum of Server 2008R2. Understanding of a Server build (Raid vs Non Raid, virtual vs physical), basic knowledge of firewall fundamentals (VPN’s, Interfaces, etc.). Understand difference between local and cloud (Hosted cloud, hosted email vs local). Experience providing desktop support to non-technical users of Microsoft Office and other business applications.Experience troubleshooting and supporting LANs, WLANs and WANs. Experience working with Windows OS and Mac OS. Experience providing support for handheld devices including Windows Mobile, Apple and Android. Experience providing support for networked printers/scanners. Experience working with Exchange environments.
