Drive financial management and accountability as a Financial Controller. Ensure compliance with policies while providing oversight and support to finance staff in a significant leadership capacity.
This full-time position involves managing the preparation of the annual budget, establishing accounting systems, and maintaining rigorous financial documentation. You will oversee payroll processing, financial transactions, and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits. A strong grasp of financial practices and experience with funding agreements for Indigenous programs are key to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee preparation and analysis of annual budgets
• Establish and maintain comprehensive accounting systems
• Administer banking and investment arrangements
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable efficiency
• Provide financial insights and regular reporting
Requirements:
• CPA designation or recognized accounting status preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Bondable with a commitment to long-term service
