Become a key member in the addiction medicine team with CMHA Peel Dufferin. This full-time role involves delivering compassionate care and conducting comprehensive assessments for clients in crisis.
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Rapid Access Addictions Medicine, you'll collaborate with mental health professionals to meet the diverse needs of clients facing addiction. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BScN) and at least four years of experience working with individuals battling serious mental illness. Expect to manage medication protocols and coordinate comprehensive assessments to ensure integrated care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough bio-psychosocial assessments
• Communicate treatment plans clearly to the team
• Lead medication administration under physician direction
• Maintain treatment policies for psychotropic medications
• Apply advanced knowledge of addiction within client care
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Nursing (BScN) and RN registration
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in mental health
• Certification in psychiatric nursing is an asset
• Excellent crisis intervention and problem-solving skills
• Open to working within an anti-oppressive framework
