Primary responsibilities are to oversee the Receiving and Distribution operations for all external inbound and outbound materials movement (Incoming receipts from Vendors for inventoried and non-inventoried materials including R&D and all outbound shipments to international customers, Vendor returns and shipments to our Canadian and US Distribution DC’s) and maintain a clean, safe and secure operating environment. This position will concentrate on maximizing productivity, quality, compliance and customer service internally and externally. Additionally, this position will concentrate on maximizing productivity, quality, service, process improvement initiatives and focus on providing Leadership, Team building and Cross Department process improvements.


  • Lead, develop, organize work flow and assign tasks to Receiving and Distribution team.
  • Ensure the required BPCS/SAP/RF transactions, documentation; log books are completed in a timely manner to support accurate inventory receipts, management and compliance.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements for Incoming Inspection, sampling and tailgate processes. Work on process improvement with the QA incoming Supervisor. Develop compliant labeling Packaging Vendors.
  • Ensure the prompt and efficient fulfillment of Company US, UPS shipments and international shipments while reviewing Packaging output to ensure no backlog and warehouse congestion.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained with all regulatory requirements related to Distribution and Receiving including C-TPAT, Canada Customs, US Customs and FDA.
  • Responsible for cross training and providing backup to Warehouse Manager (Operations).
  • Oversee housekeeping tasks of Warehouses.
  • Satisfy all internal production and R&D requirements including re-labelling all external and internal customers including 3rd party receipts
  • Ensure required cycle counts and location counts are completed in a timely basis.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies as required.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP guidelines and SOPs are applicable/relating to Distribution and Receiving are current and that all staff is trained.
  • Report and complete safety incident reports as required.
  • Play a leading role in employee management such as attendance and performance management, safety audits and meetings.
  • Manage team schedules, attendance and vacation requests to meet business needs with Warehouse Manager (Receiving and Distribution).
  • Ensure active management of meetings via meeting agendas and action follow ups with meeting minutes for point of reference.
  • Complete all cGMP Documentation correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Complete Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA’s).

  • Able to train and motivate crew.
  • Ability to analyze, perform root cause analysis, involve appropriate stakeholders in the decision making process.
  • Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office, Experience with integrated MRP/ERP systems with RF capabilities an asset.
  • Post Secondary Degree / Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience within warehousing, shipping/receiving and transportation functions combined with 3 to 5 years people management / leadership experience
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Valid Fork Lift license required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating a forklift (Raymond Reach).
  • Minimum 2-3 year’s experience in operating an ERP system including material movements and inventory control and RF Scanner
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Warehousing and Material Movement best practices.
  • Strong cGMP background an asset.
  • Management/supervisory skills.
