Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing reception backup in the afternoons (phones, scheduling, walk-ins)

• New client setup in software databases (Practice and File Cabinet)

• Prepare, file and maintain POAs (Form 2848 Power of Attorney)

• Contract management (creating and tracking client contracts)

• Logging new jobs and scanned jobs into Practice

• Logging 8879s (and maybe payments) in Practice

• Maintaining the Return To Client bin & mailing docs back to clients

• Preparing packages for mailing in accordance with our style guidelines

• Following up on Waiting For Info bin

• Tracking CPE credits for CPAs & scheduling courses when needed

• Maintaining office supplies & placing orders

• Maintaining website content updates as directed by me

• Monthly collections (email, phone calls) as directed by me

• Assist me with penalty abatement projects

• Assist me with marketing activities (newsletter, website, mail-outs, etc)

• Maintaining/"cleaning up" virtual File Cabinet; migrating files from W drive to FC

• Errands as needed

Required Skills:

• Windows 10

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Telephones

• Works well with others

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Thomson Reuters software (Practice, File Cabinet)

• WordPress or MailChimp experience

• Accounting/tax office experience
