Job DescriptionThe Client is seeking an experienced Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Electrical Detailer to support electrical substation design projects for various utility clients. The role focuses on providing high‑quality drafting and detailing support for electrical substation systems within the electric utility industry.
Responsibilities- Prepare and modify detailed design drawings, layouts, and construction documents in accordance with client standards, project specifications, and industry regulations.
- Bachelor Degree in drafting technology or related field and min 2 years hands‑on experience in electrical utility design, specifically related to electrical substation systems OR Associate Degree and min 3 years hands‑on experience in electrical utility design, specifically related to electrical substation systems OR High School Diploma/GED and mins 4 years hands‑on experience in electrical utility design, specifically related to electrical substation systems is required.
- Applicable Associated Degree is highly preferred. Bachelors degree in any Engineering field from an ABET accredited is not allowed for any CADD roles. Internship doesn't count towards the number of years of experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the electric utility industry, with a strong focus on electrical substation design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Micro Station CONNECT for electrical drafting and detailing.
- Experience producing accurate, detailed drawings for substation equipment, layouts, grounding, conduit, and electrical plans.
- Strong understanding of utility standards, drafting best practices, and quality control procedures.
- Experience with 3D design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, and/or Civil 3D is a plus.
