Responsible ForOverseeing the safety of employees and equipment on various construction sites. Also responsible for ensuring program management and required administrative reports are completed per federal, state, NVE and NH1 Joint Venture.
Job PurposeTo ensure safety on site and compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and company safety policies.
Salary Range$85,000 - $105,000/year with health benefits package
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesMust be able to work with government and non-government personnel in a professional and clear manner. Be able to work with different trades and construction focuses to ensure a safe environment without limiting the trades ability to complete work. Must be able to properly communicate over the phone and in writing to upper management to include Subcontractors, Suppliers, Onsite Staff, Owners, PM’s, Superintendents, and Corporate Safety Officer.
Qualifications- OSHA 30 hours training
- EM 385–1 training (or be able to complete this within one month of hiring)
- Knowledge in the following areas:
Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Scaffolding, and HEC - Computer skills in Microsoft Office and online databases
- Must pass government security clearance standards to work on base
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen test if hired
- Good driving record, valid license – insurable through the company
- Be able to stand for several hours at a time
- Not afraid of heights
- Be able to work both indoors and outdoors
- Can clearly communicate in person, written, and electronically
- Minimum 2 years of safety experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Understanding of RMS/eCMS or experience working with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
- USACE 40-hour course
- Various safety competent persons certifications (Fall Protection, Excavation, etc.)
- Experience working on a construction site
- Bluebeam
- Procore experience
- Willing to travel to multiple states for work if needed
