Responsibilities
Job Summary:
As a Customer Service Representative, you will maintain a well‑stocked and well‑maintained department while providing superior customer service. You will stock and rotate products daily, and uphold all department and safety/sanitation standards.
- Stocking:
- Stock and rotate items as needed.
- Assist with inventory control; load, unload, and move product.
- Organize, clean, and prepare back area for the night crew and incoming trucks.
- Organize merchandise on pallets to present the department to the public.
- Ensure integrity of shelf tags and signage; create/prepare signage as needed.
- Maintain standards for shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation.
- Check shipments for out‑of‑date or damaged product to ensure freshness and quality.
- Build, stock, maintain, and dismantle store displays.
- Perform duties of Customer Service Assistant as required.
- Customer Service:
- Provide superior customer service.
- Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections, helping customers locate merchandise.
- Sales:
- Merchandise product effectively.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.
- Food Safety / Sanitation:
- Clean and sanitize sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment.
- Properly handle and maintain operation of all equipment.
- Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.
- Beauty:
- Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids.
- Drugstore / General Merchandise:
- Prepare tags and signs as needed.
- Grocery:
- Organize, clean, and prepare back area for the night crew and incoming trucks.

- Texas Backyard:
- Passion for outdoors.
- Ability to complete Green Thumb training (H‑E‑B internal training).
- Entertainment:
- Knowledge in the audio/video field.
- Knowledge of specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games.
- Function in a fast‑paced, retail environment with detailed and precise tasks.
- Work with customers, staying attentive to their needs.

- It is Partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their safe limit. If an item is too heavy, break it into lighter parts or ask for assistance.

- HS Diploma or GED (or equivalent) – Required.
- Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training upon hire – Required.
