Drugstore - Customer Service Rep - Part time

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will maintain a well‑stocked and well‑maintained department while providing superior customer service. You will stock and rotate products daily, and uphold all department and safety/sanitation standards.

• Stocking:
  • Stock and rotate items as needed.
  • Assist with inventory control; load, unload, and move product.
  • Organize, clean, and prepare back area for the night crew and incoming trucks.
  • Organize merchandise on pallets to present the department to the public.
  • Ensure integrity of shelf tags and signage; create/prepare signage as needed.
  • Maintain standards for shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation.
  • Check shipments for out‑of‑date or damaged product to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Build, stock, maintain, and dismantle store displays.
  • Perform duties of Customer Service Assistant as required.
• Customer Service:
  • Provide superior customer service.
  • Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections, helping customers locate merchandise.
• Sales:
  • Merchandise product effectively.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.
• Food Safety / Sanitation:
  • Clean and sanitize sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment.
  • Properly handle and maintain operation of all equipment.
  • Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.

• Beauty:
  • Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids.
• Drugstore / General Merchandise:
  • Prepare tags and signs as needed.
• Grocery:
  • Organize, clean, and prepare back area for the night crew and incoming trucks.

• Texas Backyard:
  • Passion for outdoors.
  • Ability to complete Green Thumb training (H‑E‑B internal training).
• Entertainment:
  • Knowledge in the audio/video field.
  • Knowledge of specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games.

• Function in a fast‑paced, retail environment with detailed and precise tasks.
• Work with customers, staying attentive to their needs.

• It is Partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their safe limit. If an item is too heavy, break it into lighter parts or ask for assistance.
