Summary ofJob Description
The Superintendent supports the direction and oversight of all job-site construction requirements associated with multi-family residential and mixed-use projects. The Superintendent collaborates with the Lead Superintendent and project team to ensure project schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives are attained.
Essential Job FunctionsGeneral Management
- Supports the Lead Superintendent and Project Manager with scheduling, preconstruction responsibilities, jobsite setup, and change order management.
- Assists with providing direction and oversight to ensure work is performed safely, meets required quality standards, and aligns with the established project schedule and scope.
- Helps identify hazards, delays, quality concerns, and other jobsite issues while assisting in developing solutions to mitigate project risk.
- Assists in monitoring subcontractor performance and addressing field-related issues.
- Supports project quality control efforts and inspections.
Planning and Scheduling
- Assists in developing the site plan including public safety measures, site security, truck routing, crane and hoist logistics, and overall personnel/material flow throughout the site.
- Supports labor tracking and field staffing projections while coordinating workforce needs with project leadership.
- Participates in regularly scheduled daily and weekly project team meetings.
- Assists in maintaining and updating the construction schedule based on milestone and completion dates.
- Coordinates subcontractors, vendors, and ownership representatives on daily activities including RFIs, scheduling updates, and scope coordination.
Relationship Management
- Supports and coordinates members of the project team to help complete all phases of work within established schedules and project parameters.
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with associates, architects, inspectors, subcontractors, municipalities, suppliers, and neighboring stakeholders.
- Assists in coordinating commitments and communication between project stakeholders.
- Demonstrates a collaborative and team-oriented approach while supporting field staff and project operations.
Non-Essential Functions
- Coordinates inspection, turnover and product information.
- Reviews scopes and participates in scope meetings.
- Tracks shop drawings and submittals
- Maintains inspection logs and schedules inspections.
- Coordinates with utility providers to bring services to the jobsite.
- Ensures daily and weekly field reports are updated.
- Participates in unit acceptance walks with engineering associates.
- Assists in managing and updating trade punch lists on a weekly basis.
- All other tasks or duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
:
Education
:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Construction-related courses from a vocational or technical school preferred.
Experience
:
- 2-8+ years of experience supporting residential construction projects/activities directly with moderate knowledge related to all disciplines and phases of construction.

- Demonstrates computer literacy with the ability to operate Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Performs intermediate mathematical calculations related to construction measurements and blueprint interpretation.
- Possesses technical understanding of major building components including civil, infrastructure, concrete, framing, and structural systems.
- Acts as a motivated, resourceful, and dependable team player.
- Displays strong organizational and time management skills.
- Maintains composure and productivity in fast-paced environments.

Training
:
- Satisfactory completion of our Client’s new hire orientation within 30 days of employment or the first training session offered after employment.
