This experienced CNC Operator position uses Tri‑Mack's CNC and manual machining equipment to produce tight tolerance parts using pre‑defined programs, tools, and work that has already been loaded into the machine. A Level 2 CNC Machinist requires a good working background in manufacturing and independently operates a variety of parts within their department. This Machinist can operate the more complicated parts in the department, run multiple machines at once and complete some set‑ups independently.
Responsibilities& Accountabilities
- Operate CNC machines to specifications and hold tight tolerances. May run more than one CNC machine at a time.
- Identify critical dimensions and independently measure parts with minimal guidance.
- Complete all documentation accurately each shift.
- Troubleshoot problems. Identify dull tools and inserts for static tooling and replace as necessary.
- Make offsets involving multiple datum systems.
- Verify raw material documentation and match picklists to maintain lot traceability.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks and document per the relevant work instruction.
- Keep work station clean and organized.
- Work in a manner that ensures your own safety and the safety of your co‑workers. Always use correct PPE, and never run a machine without

Skills & Experience- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience on CNC milling and/or lathes machines is required.
- Experience in some set‑up and/or program edits is preferred.
- Understanding of blueprints and some GD&T is required.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, sit and lift up to 40 pounds for 8 to 12 hours per day.
- General math knowledge and ability to calculate and solve certain geometric problems.
- Ability to use and understand all measuring tools, such as manual micrometers and calipers, up to 0.0001 inch.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to show up to work on time, get along with co‑workers and support others as needed.
- 40 hour week, Monday‑Thursday, with overtime available.
- $3.00 per hour 2nd Shift pay differential.
