Learning Support Assistant

South West/ contract / £24k - 26k per year

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant on a full‑time, long‑term basis from September 2026. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, deliver targeted interventions and provide additional support to pupils with SEND where required. This rewarding role will play a vital part in helping pupils access the curriculum, build confidence and make excellent progress both academically and personally.

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
• A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable.
• A positive, proactive and flexible approach.
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Registration may involve an enhanced DBS check, s and the supply of good professional references, depending on the role.
