English Teacher; SEMH

Some students need more than a teacher. They need someone who can spark confidence, build trust, and help them rediscover their love of learning.

We're working with specialist SEMH settings looking for an English Teacher who can bring creativity, patience, and a sense of humour to the classroom. You'll be teaching pupils who may have faced challenges in mainstream education and helping them develop both academically and personally.

• Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Building positive relationships with pupils who thrive on consistency and encouragement
• Supporting students working towards GCSEs and other qualifications
• Working closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
• Adapting lessons to meet a range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs

• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching English in secondary settings
• Understands SEMH needs or is keen to develop experience in alternative provision
• Can stay calm under pressure and build strong relationships
• Believes every young person deserves the chance to succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
