HGV Class 2 Driver

HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER – NEW PASSES WELCOME – BRISTOL People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Bristol and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and long-term progression for both experienced and newly qualified drivers. This role would suit candidates with experience as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Truck Driver, Rigid Driver or Delivery Driver.

Shift Pattern
• Monday to Friday
• 06:00am starts Salary • £29,000 – £35,000 per annum Benefits As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive:

• Employee wellbeing programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
• Delivering metals throughout the South West of England using dedicated delivery routes
• Operating a range of vehicles including 7.5t, 18t and 26t vehicles
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Vehicles will be pre-loaded with unloading completed via customer forklifts
• Completing loading and unloading duties safely and accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Adhering to all road safety and traffic regulations
• Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and records
• Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C Licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsement codes
• Reliable, professional, and punctual attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Good understanding of road safety and compliance

Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience handling large or bulky goods
• Good customer-facing experience Training
• Full industry-related training provided
