Living Faith TV is a leading Christian media network based in Bristol, VA. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis, working 20 hours per week. As a Financial Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our company. Your main responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and processing payments and invoices.

You will also be responsible for assisting with budgeting and financial planning, and providing support to our accounting team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and excellent attention to detail. You should also be comfortable working with numbers and be able to handle confidential information with discretion. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but we are also open to training the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents on a regular basis
  • Process payments and invoices in a timely manner
  • Assist with budgeting and financial planning as needed
  • Provide support to the accounting team with various tasks, such as preparing financial reports and analyzing data
  • Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve any billing or payment issues
  • Keep track of all financial documents and ensure they are properly filed and organized
  • Handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting laws and regulations
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a financial or accounting role is preferred
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
