Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Retail Support, Customer Service Rep
Position Summary
Provides member service. Maintains the checkout area. Resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam’s Club products and services. Provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology. Processes member purchases. Assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise. Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
Maintains entrance areas, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs. Assists members with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise. Zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise, assists members with transporting items, and maintains a safe shopping environment.
Maintains exit areas, reviews member receipts, and identifies member needs. Secures and safeguards Sam’s Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activity. Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation. Executes emergency response procedures and ensures compliance with security and safety practices.
Assists in training Member Frontline Services associates on processes, new technology, and tool functionality. Delivers new program rollout training and provides continuous learning opportunities.
Ensures the area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies by properly handling returns, zoning, arranging merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
Complies with policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, using the Open Door Policy and applying them to business practices.
Completes work assignments by using data, collaborating with managers and colleagues, identifying priorities, communicating progress, recommending improvement opportunities, and adapting to change.
Minimum Qualifications- Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (for example, cash register).
- Experience working with mobile retail applications.

CompensationThe hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
