SUMMARY:
A Financial Analyst is a professional who analyzes financial data, prepares reports, and provides insights and recommendations to support decision‑making within an organization.
- Collects and analyzes financial data from various sources, such as financial statements, market trends, and economic indicators.
- Conducts financial modeling and forecasting to assess the company's current and future financial performance.
- Identifies key financial metrics and benchmarks to evaluate performance against industry standards.
- Prepares financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analyses.
- Assists in the development of budgets, financial plans, and strategic initiatives.
- Conducts research on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to provide insights for decision‑making.
- Evaluates investment opportunities or potential mergers and acquisitions by conducting due diligence and financial analysis.
- Collaborates with cross‑functional teams, such as accounting, operations, and sales, to gather relevant data and insights.
- Presents findings and recommendations to management or stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Monitors and tracks financial performance against established goals and targets.
- Uses relevant software tools to perform effectively in the role.
- Must possess the appropriate level of certifications as required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of zero to two (0‑2) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork is primarily performed in an office/warehouse setting. Requires frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms, occasionally above head; twisting at the waist; climbing and descending stairs while carrying objects; standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; occasionally sitting and balancing. Regularly lifts and/or moves up to twenty‑five (25) pounds, occasionally up to fifty (50) pounds.
