PositionSummary
In this role as Senior Manager – HCB FP&A Business, you will report to the Lead Director of HCB FP&A. You will lead a team of two and will be responsible for consolidating, reporting and the creation of management presentations, talking points and analytics for forecasts and operating plans with a focus on the Commercial and Specialty Line of business. This candidate will lead the technical day‑to‑day processes to support the forecast and operating plan reviews and analysis.
The role works closely with Aetna business finance leads to ensure that the reporting of forecasts/budget is accurate and that the appropriate level of information is provided to senior leadership.
- Lead the Multi‑Year Forecast and Goodwill Modeling
- Own the consolidation of Forecast and Operating Plan for the Commercial and Specialty LOB
- Own the process and consolidation of Monthly Risks and Opportunities
- Drive overall planning and analysis of ad‑hoc projects of varying nature and complexity (financial metrics, process improvement initiatives, etc.)
- Collaborate with HCB Senior Leadership and Aetna business finance leads to understand the overall story and key drivers for each forecast, budget and ensure financial presentations and analysis are detailed and accurate
- Develop impactful financial recommendations for executive leadership
- Translate financial results and metrics into recommended actions to support business leader strategic and operational decision‑making and action

- Minimum of 5‑8 years of experience
- Proven team player with ability to work with all levels of colleagues, including managers, direct reports, and peers

- Ability to understand complex financial concepts and perform detailed analysis

- Leverage strong financial modeling skills (Excel and advanced functions like Macros, Index Match, XLookup, etc.)

Understanding of financial systems (Hyperion, S4, Oracle, etc.) - Preferred:

Ability to interpret financial results within the context of the larger company strategy - Effective written and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Actuarial, Accounting or Quantitative field required
