Heavy Equipment Operators - District 5 Maintenance - Up to $47,100/year - Statewide OK

Heavy Equipment Operators are sought by the 345 Department of Transportation for District 5 Maintenance across multiple counties in Oklahoma. This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery to maintain and repair highways, ensuring safe and efficient transportation routes. What You’ll Need
  • Level I:
    No education or experience requirements
  • Level II:
    One year of experience operating heavy equipment
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license at time of employment
  • Ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license, class A, within five months of appointment
  • CDL tank vehicle endorsement required for ODOT employees
  • Pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical abilities test
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Willingness to perform job-related travel and work non-regular hours during emergencies
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and manipulate tools
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception
