A successful Greenpoint Brooklyn based commercial door service company, working primarily for hospitals, schools and office buildings is looking to hire an experienced door technician. The automatic door installation/service technician will Install and repair both manual and automatic doors including installation of hardware and basic electrical circuits

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the repair and installation of manual/automated doors including all aspects of hardware (motors, operators, locks and wiring) and ensuring service is completed efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Use electrical, mechanical, and electronic skills; knowledge and understanding of products, power and hand tools to complete required service and repair tasks.
Drive to the jobsite to assess customer’s service/repair needs and complete repair of the product to the customer’s satisfaction.
Develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques, and remain current with product requirements for installation materials to meet safety specifications and maintain quality

2 to 3 years’ experience installing and servicing doors either automated or commercial
Installation of panic/locking hardware
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and excellent driving record
AAADM certification is a plus
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Work is performed at customer sites. Must be able to safely lift 75 pounds regularly.
