Job SummaryThe Sr. Compliance Officer is responsible for executing testing and continuous monitoring to evaluate Key’s UDAAP compliance with regulatory requirements. Additional monitoring activities may include leading data integrity testing, reviewing and challenging procedures, developing training, reporting results to line of business, and more. This position utilizes data analysis tools to assess UDAAP risks, evaluate controls for potential weaknesses or gaps, and recommend improvements to business processes.
The role also involves partnering with lines of business while balancing fiduciary oversight, approving or denying high‑risk initiatives, and fostering an organizational culture that prioritizes risk management.
- Assist with coordination in the development of a bank‑wide approach to UDAAP risk management, focusing on identifying, measuring, mitigating, monitoring, and reporting UDAAP related risks.
- Assume Second Line of Defense review and challenge activities and escalation, employing independent testing as appropriate.
- Execute testing and continuous monitoring to evaluate Key’s UDAAP compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Deliver testing results within established time frames, identify opportunities, establish action plans, and drive solutions to continuously improve the compliance program and increase efficiency.
- Conduct data integrity testing, review and challenge of procedures, develop training, and report results to the line of business.
- Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to evaluate UDAAP risks and controls, identifying potential weaknesses or control gaps.
- Monitor and recommend improvements to business processes to meet regulatory changes and reduce UDAAP compliance risk exposure.
- Support the line of business on UDAAP‑related regulatory exams and internal audit activities.
- Document and communicate testing and monitoring results, providing heightened awareness of significant risks and proactive remediation of control weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with mid to senior‑level management, internal clients, peers, and Audit.
- Assist with ad‑hoc tasks to ensure team objectives are achieved.
- Perform other duties as assigned; duties may change over time.
- Comply with all Key Bank policies and procedures, acting professionally, ethically, and with integrity.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or an advanced degree (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of UDAAP compliance experience with strong knowledge of applicable regulations and a focus on risks and controls.
- CRCM certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of internal controls, risk assessments, compliance testing and monitoring processes (including analytics) and techniques for implementing regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated skill in effectively communicating results to diverse audiences and collaborating with all levels of management.
- Ability to work closely with a cross‑functional team to achieve results.
- Strong critical thinking, investigative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- High ethical standards.
- Detail‑oriented, multi‑tasking, fast‑paced, able to juggle multiple projects with little guidance.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Autonomous, self‑motivated, and flexible, able to adapt quickly to change.

- General Office – Prolonged sitting, face‑to‑face and phone communication, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting of backpacks up to 10 lbs.
- Hybrid (3+ days)
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 – $ annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes eligibility for incentive compensation (production, commission, discretionary incentives).
