Medical Records Coordinator (LPN) – Overview

Responsible for the successful utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR) and collaboration with physicians, office staff, nursing management, and staff through auditing, analysis, and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the EMR to ensure accurate and complete medical records.
  • Audit, analyze, and train staff, vendors, and stakeholders on EMR usage.
  • Collaborate with hospitals, physicians, nursing staff, and leadership to obtain and maintain records.
Skills and Competencies

  • Collaborative teamwork with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum one year in nursing management in long‑term care.
  • At least two years of professional nursing experience in long‑term care, acute care, restorative care or geriatric nursing setting.
