Our client, a growth and innovative manufacturer, has an immediate need for a Bilingual Human Resources Manager (HRBP) to provide human resources leadership and support to the site. The position is responsible for executing HR initiatives at the plant facility level including, but not limited to, managing labor relations, talent acquisition, talent management, performance management and other human capital initiatives. This role will partner closely with Operations leadership to deliver on business objectives for the facility to support the growth and success of the business.
Role Responsibilities:
• Works with the HR team and local operational leadership to develop and implement programs to maximize employee engagement, performance and development.
• Works with leadership to develop and execute site labor relations strategies that achieve operational objectives, advance company business priorities, promote positive company-union relations, and increase employee engagement.
• Lead grievance hearings and provide necessary support and preparation during arbitrations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to managers regarding the application and interpretation of human resources practices, policies, and procedures.
• Coach and counsel management and hourly employees regarding policies and procedures, discipline, interpersonal and teamwork opportunities.
• Develops and administers training and employee development programs.
• Leads the talent acquisition process for Buffalo Grove. Prepares and updates job descriptions, develops Targeted Selection interview guides. Conducts employment interviews, reference checks, background checks, drug screens, and other screening activities guided by our corporate standards.
• Manage on-boarding activities and follow up with new team members as they integrate into our culture. Maintains high levels of engagement with team members at all times using various employment engagement programs and strategies.
• Works with the HR and leadership to develop and administer performance management and compensation programs.
• Processes new hires for corporate headquarter site. Administers HR changes, timekeeping and required benefits administration into the HRIS system.
• Works with HR leadership to implement and modify various compensation programs, workforce planning and annual budgeting.
• Work with operations to administer safety programs by conducting team member safety trainings, promoting safe working practices, complying with OSHA regulations, and reporting on all accidents and injuries. Keeping team members safe is our number one priority.
Position Requirements
Bachelor,   3 to 4 Years work experience
• Bachelor's Degree; discipline in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Business Management degree. Master's Degree a plus!
• 3-5 years experience (no more than 5 years) in an HR generalist role administering best in class HR programs
• Manufacturing environment experience required - labor relations experience preferred
• Through knowledge of Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel skills)
• Experience working with an HRIS solution including processing HR transactions
• Fluent or conversational SPANISH
• PHR or SPHR a plus!
