Job Description
This position involves technical leadership and execution of new product development programs, ensuring alignment with customer technical requirements and procurement specifications. You will be part of the internal product development team and lead cross-functional teams through various phases of product development.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership and manage the execution of new product development programs in accordance with customer requirements.
* Coordinate all phases of new product development, including technical proposals, design, fabrication support, qualification testing, and sustaining engineering efforts.
* Lead small cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
* Maintain and develop knowledge of advanced engineering disciplines, processes, and tools.
* Own, delegate, coordinate, and execute tasks with the internal product development team.
* Ensure designs comply with customer requirements and industry standards.
* Provide technical input, review, and approve engineering drawings and documentation.
* Prepare project status presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
* Establish and defend advantageous technical positions for the company or program.
* Identify and execute improvement activities to reduce cost and improve product quality.
* Interface with vendors and suppliers to ensure technical communication and product compliance.
* Lead and contribute to internal and external audits.
* Establish yourself as a recognized technical expert within the organization.
* Communicate proactively within the company to facilitate project goals and cross-functional collaboration.
* Decompose and intuit customer/project needs even when requirements are incomplete.
Essential Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. M.S. preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in metallic or composite ducting and motion compensator design per ARP 699 guidelines.
* Experience with aircraft certification to EASA, Transport Canada, CAAC, and/or FAA 14 CFR FAR 25 requirements.
* Experience from program award through major milestones (PDR, CDR, PRR, SOF, EIS).
* Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
* Experience delegating work and supervising engineering support staff.
* Experience writing certification documentation (ATP, QTP, QTR, etc.).
* Experience with sheet metal and/or composite manufacturing processes.
* Experience with MRB process with engineering disposition authority.
* Test experience per RTCA-DO/160 or MIL-STD-810.
* Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to read and support the creation of 3D models and 2D drawings per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards.
* Thorough understanding of industry specifications.

Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in ECS, bleed air, AMS, valves, heat exchangers, turbo machinery, fuel tank inerting systems, pneumatic systems, structural design.
* Experience in developing long-term relationships with key customers.
* Experience in business development and recognizing new business opportunities.
Work Environment
Work onsite with flexible hours from Monday to Friday, between 7 AM and 4 PM. Core hours are 9 AM to 3 PM. You will be part of two teams:
Project Engineers, responsible for technical interaction with clients and strategy development, and Design Engineers. The environment encourages growth and promotion, aiming to develop future leaders.

This is a Permanent position based out of BURBANK, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
