• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with K-8 populations in diverse classroom settings
• In-depth understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong collaboration skills for working alongside general educators, specialists, and families
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to accommodate a range of learning needs
• Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management abilities

• Develop, modify, and deliver individualized instruction to students with special needs in compliance with IEP guidelines
• Assess student skills and track progress toward educational and behavioral goals
• Collaborate with instructional teams, parents, and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments
• Document updates, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings and staff development sessions
• Create a safe, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages growth, self-advocacy, and respect
• Integrate assistive technologies and differentiated materials as appropriate to facilitate student learning
