Roles and Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain Citrix Xen App (6.X / 7.X) and Xen Desktop (7) environments.
- Design and implement Citrix Access Gateway/Netscaler solutions and optimize server performance.
- Assess environment readiness and determine server virtualization suitability based on performance metrics.
- Identify options for Provisioning Services bootstrap redundancy and optimize network configurations.
- Configure Access Gateway implementations for secure remote access.
- Monitor system health and resolve problem trends using tools like Edgesight reporting.
- Develop training materials and documentation, and oversee their implementation.
- Provide escalated technical support for complex system issues, including telephonic or electronic support.
- Communicate system proposals, diagnoses, and resolutions to management and customers.
- Collaborate with global teams while functioning independently as needed.
- 3–5 years of Citrix administration experience (Xen App 6.X / 7.X and Xen Desktop
7). - 2+ years experience with Citrix Access Gateway/Netscaler.
- 3–5 years of remote access gateway engineering covering Citrix, Cisco, and Juniper product lines.
- 5+ years of network administration and infrastructure experience.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between farm components: network, storage, server, and database.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, and remote access solutions including IPSec and SSL VPNs.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Windows Server (2003/2008)
- Windows Desktop OS (XP,
7) - SQL Server
- Altiris
- MS Office (2003/2007/2010)
- Active Directory
- Working knowledge of application deployment processes and functional network troubleshooting.
