Jazz in the Berkshires is a community-centered nonprofit dedicated to presenting high-quality jazz performances, supporting music education, and strengthening the cultural and economic vitality of the Berkshires.
Our goal is to attract visitors through music, support local businesses, and grow tourism in the region through jazz and cultural events.
The RoleWe’re looking for a motivated, organized, and outgoing Sales & Marketing Coordinator / Manager / Director to help grow ticket sales, sponsor ships, and community support for our concerts and events.
This is a hands-on role combining sales, outreach, marketing, and relationship-building. The title and scope will match the experience of the person we hire — from a coordinator or college student ready to learn, to a more experienced marketing or fundraising professional.
What You’ll Do- Help drive ticket sales for concerts and events
- Reach out to businesses and individuals for sponsor ships and support
- Assist with donor outreach and fundraising campaigns
- Manage and grow social media and online promotions
- Help update the website and event listings
- Maintain contact lists and basic CRM/database records
- Conduct outreach calls and emails
- Represent Jazz in the Berkshires at local events when needed
- Interested in sales, marketing, fundraising, events, or the arts
- Comfortable talking to people by phone, email, and in person
- Organized, reliable, and able to follow through
- Familiar with social media and basic digital tools
- Excited to help grow a nonprofit arts organization
This role is open to early-career professionals and college students. Training and support will be provided.
Nice to Have- Experience with nonprofits, arts organizations, or event promotion
- Familiarity with CRM systems or ticketing platforms
- Knowledge of the Berkshires community
