Location: New Westminster
Explore an impactful role as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Fraser Health's Royal Columbian Hospital. This full-time relief position emphasizes high-level infant care and family engagement.
As a NICU RN, your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, planning interventions, and working alongside an interdisciplinary team to enhance newborn care. A minimum of one year’s experience in a neonatal unit is required alongside current BCCNM registration and specialized training. You will advocate for best practices in Family-Centered Care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and collect critical data
• Write accurate patient care reports and evaluations
• Attend high-risk deliveries and execute neonatal resuscitation
• Implement direct nursing interventions based on standards
• Collaborate with healthcare providers for care planning
Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current BCCNM practicing registration
• At least one year of recent neonatal nursing experience
• Basic Rescuer (Level
C) and NRP Certificates
• Strong communication skills with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
