Location: New Westminster
Enhance patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C. Work within the 3 South General Surgery unit to support patients on their journey to independence.
This critical role allows you to perform comprehensive patient assessments and contribute to individualized care plans while ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team. You'll play a vital part in promoting a supportive atmosphere for patients, families, and your colleagues through collaborative care practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and document patient strengths and needs
• Support families in healthcare decision-making
• Maintain accurate records of patient care
• Operate and maintain medical equipment for safe use
• Ensure cleanliness and safety in patient areas
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized practical nursing program
• Current practicing registration with BCCNM
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
• Proficient in medication administration
• Physical capability to perform required nursing duties
