In the role of Chemistry Laboratory Technician at SGS, you will conduct vital analyses of minerals and ores. This position includes preparing samples, conducting tests, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your effective communication and strong organizational skills will be essential in documenting and relaying test outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct a variety of tests on base and precious metals
• Record and report test data and outcomes
• Prepare laboratory samples through various methods
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as needed
• Follow health and safety protocols rigorously
Requirements:
• High school diploma required; science education preferred
• Experience in a laboratory setting advantageous
• Proficient in using Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
