Who We Are:Established in 1963, Dierks Equipment Sales Ltd. is a locally family-owned and operated small business. We specialize in commercial plumbing, heating, and steam systems. We act as a manufacturer’s sales representative in the Province of B.C. and Yukon Territory and are an important source of market-related information for key brands.

Responsibilities &Qualifications:
- Ship, receive, and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and stock to and from our business.
- Determine method of shipment, arrange shipping, prepare bills of lading, record serial numbers, customs forms, invoices, and other shipping documents manually or by computer.
- Email order confirmations and packing slips to our customer purchasers.
- Provide excellent customer service by phone and in person.
- Give customers basic information on products (on-hand stock levels and pricing).
- Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack product to be shipped, and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents and record shortages.
- Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
- Unload trucks, operate forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
- Organize and pick orders to be shipped by freight or courier companies.
- Assist with call-in orders.
- Process shipments, print waybills and labels for attaching to product.
- File copies of packing slips in records.
- Order shipping supplies and stock from factories as required for warehouse.
- Work with the Sales Representatives to process orders in a timely manner.
- Take phone messages from customers when other staff is preoccupied.
- Assist with inventory counts.
- Ability to lift weights of up to 50 lbs.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks within the shipping & receiving area.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Good attention to details, able to follow policies/procedures, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to the safety of self and others.
- Standard math and basic computer skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $24.00
