They focus on comprehensive healthcare programs that are adopted to provide a preventative approach to disease and primary care. The model of care is designed to give Physicians the chance to spend time with their patients, typically 30 minute to 1 hour appointment times.
Their preventative model begins with a length analysis of patients' health history and completing a comprehensive health assessment, from these a tailored detailed plan is devised for each patient with ongoing testing and assessments to prevent disease and catch illnesses early.
You will be expected to see 8 - 12 patients per day allowing you time with patients to provide compassionate, comprehensive care.
Ideally the practice would like someone to come onboard 2 days per week, possibly increasing to 3 days as demand grows.
Requirements
Graduation from an approved medical school and completion of two or three years of family medicine residency training.
You need to be a registered Family Physician eligible to work in Alberta.
Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Experience in primary care for patients of all ages
Strong clinical skills and experience in a multidisciplinary team environment.
