Position: Engagement Librarian for Science Disciplines
Step into the role of Science Learning and Engagement Librarian at the University of Calgary. Your focus will be on providing essential learning assistance for Earth Sciences, Energy Sciences, and Mathematics at Gallagher Library.

This 12-month sessional position seeks an Assistant Librarian dedicated to enhancing library engagement through academic services and support. Collaborate actively with faculty, students, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive instructional programming. Your contributions will significantly impact the research and learning experience at the university.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver engaging workshops and library instruction

• Provide consultation and reference services for users

• Collaborate with academic staff to market library initiatives

• Monitor trends in open access and scholarly resources

• Assist with research grants and data management

Requirements:

• Accredited Master’s degree in librarianship

• Demonstrated experience in library instruction

• Proven ability to engage diverse participants

• Knowledge of new technologies in library services

• Strong written and oral communication skills
