The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2026 FNCE 465 LEC 01 (Mergers and Acquisitions). Classes run from September 1 to December 4, 2026. Registrar scheduled exams will take place between December 8 and December 18, 2026, if applicable.
CourseFNCE 465 (Mergers and Acquisitions) – LEC 01 Tuesday/Thursday 11:00am–12:15pm.
A study of the economic theory and practical issues around takeover and takeover defence strategies. Valuation issues, corporate restructuring, corporate governance, and methods of ensuring congruence between management and shareholder goals are also discussed.
Qualifications- MBA degree or equivalent, and work experience in the field are desirable
- Previous post‑secondary teaching experience is a requirement
- Preference will be given to applicants who have experience providing instruction face‑to‑face and online in a post‑secondary setting
- Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset
