Join Cenovus's team as a Staff Geologist located in Calgary. This role focuses on optimizing reservoir development plans through technical analysis and strategic insights.
As a Staff Geologist at Cenovus, you will engage in multi-disciplinary teamwork to enhance project execution for conventional heavy oil operations. With 12+ years in the field, your responsibilities will include conducting geological evaluations, mentoring junior geoscientists, and driving workflow improvements that align with the company's long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct geological evaluations for new drilling prospects
• Deliver technical recommendations for project development
• Prepare and present findings to leadership
• Assess land for strategic opportunities
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement across teams
Requirements:
•
B.Sc. degree in Geology and 12+ years of experience
• APEGA registration or equivalent
• Familiarity with Geographix and related software
• Proven success in development planning and asset evaluation
• Deep understanding of stratigraphy and depositional systems
