Act as a Field-Based Geological Drilling Monitor, performing essential drilling tasks on rotational shifts.
Your role supports geotechnical projects by managing field operations and ensuring compliance with drilling standards.
This contract role offers the opportunity to work independently in the field under the guidance of a project manager. Key responsibilities include monitoring different drilling rigs, performing geotechnical testing, and executing detailed borehole logging. Your expertise will be critical in collecting soil samples and ensuring all operational requirements are met properly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor drilling operations for geotechnical projects
• Conduct installations of geotechnical equipment
• Perform borehole logging following industry standards
• Collect and manage soil samples effectively
• Safely transport samples within the mining site
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent
• 3 years of drilling experience is essential
• Understanding of northern Alberta geology needed
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
• Maintain First Aid and H2S certifications
