Join Miskanawah as a full-time Housing Case Manager, providing essential support to individuals facing housing instability. This role emphasizes advocacy, systems navigation, and cultural humility within a supportive environment.
Miskanawah’s Ka-pe-kiwehtahat program is dedicated to restoring connections for Indigenous individuals and families struggling with housing security. You will conduct assessments, form collaborative relationships, and deliver person-centered case management. Your commitment to trauma-informed practices and knowledge of Calgary’s support services will enhance the lives of those in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake assessments for housing eligibility
• Provide referrals to internal and external services
• Advocate for individuals navigating cultural norms
• Maintain confidential case notes and outcome data
• Collaborate with community agencies for housing solutions
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in a human service field
• Experience with vulnerable populations in housing
• Preferred case management experience
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and practices
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and vehicle insurance
