Become a Calgary Outreach Caseworker with the Calgary John Howard Society and contribute to community safety. This full-time hybrid position focuses on case management and support for individuals transitioning from detention.
As a CCMS Caseworker, you'll utilize your expertise in social services to provide guidance and assistance to clients. You will develop tailored release plans based on in-depth assessments while ensuring compliance with legal conditions.
Your role will involve case documentation and strategies to support clients impacted by trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Develop safety and stability-focused release plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress
• Offer strategies to address direct or vicarious trauma
• Create avenues for community and recreational engagement
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education required
• At least two years of community supervision experience
• Familiarity with corrections is a plus
• Brain Story Certification is an asset
• Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
Contribute to positive change and community health through your casework efforts.
