Facilities Associate

Job Summary

• Perform routine custodial activities including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing assigned areas such as classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common spaces.

• Clean and maintain restrooms; replenish supplies to ensure sanitary conditions.

• Perform minor maintenance and repair work including changing light bulbs, basic plumbing repairs, painting, and simple carpentry tasks.

• Assist in setting up and arranging furniture and equipment for meetings, events, and activities; take down and store equipment following use.

• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify safety hazards, damage, or maintenance needs; report issues to appropriate personnel.

• Assist in maintaining buildings and grounds in a safe and secure condition; lock and unlock facilities as assigned.

• Perform basic groundskeeping activities such as debris removal and general outdoor upkeep.

• Receive, check-in, store, and distribute supplies, materials, equipment, department orders; assist with maintaining inventory levels.

• Operate custodial equipment and utilize hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.

• Assist with routine safety checks of equipment such as fire extinguishers and first aid supplies as directed.

• Respond to routine work orders and assist with facility-related projects.

• Assist with the transportation of County Office vehicles for routine maintenance, and servicing to ensure safe and reliable operation.

• Routine cleaning of vehicles.

• Assist the technology department as needed.

• Maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students, and the public.

• Perform related duties as assigned.
