Description
You will be the Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our Engineering team. Our team is responsible for developing innovative mechanical solutions, designing tooling and equipment, and providing engineering support to the production floor.
What You Will Be Doing- Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications, culminating in complete technical data packages that fully define the tooling/equipment and enable fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item.
- Design and documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing Pro‑Engineer or Solid Works.
- Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that arise in day‑to‑day integration processes, using problem‑solving skills in a team environment while meeting production rate requirements.
- Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical or electromechanical systems for production, transmission, measurement, and energy use.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in an ordnance facility.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledgeable of machine/tool mechanical design.
- Knowledgeable of general manufacturing/integration processes.
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – this position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Proficient with MS Office suite.
- Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or Solid Works.
- Knowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic systems/equipment used in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledgeable of engineering materials.
- Promote safety practices on the shop floor and eliminate safety risks.
- Experienced with troubleshooting practices and techniques, using FMEA, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Implement continuous improvement projects using 6S and Lean manufacturing techniques.
- Customer service skills to communicate with the shop floor and train operators.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and bills of materials.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
- Incorporate configuration changes on existing procedures and verify alignment with engineering requirements.
- Design new tools and maintain existing tooling/equipment.
- Project management experience in writing business cases, developing estimates, reporting schedules, and coordinating tasks between multiple functions.
