Engineering ServicesManager are affected on a unit based in Canada. Nevertheless, thereare many available overseas jobs in operational theaters ordeployment contexts.
Together with theArmour, Infantry and Artillery, Engineer Officers are an integralpart of the Combat Arms.
The primaryresponsibility of Engineer Officers is combat readiness.

Either working within Canada during an emergency or oninternational missions, Engineer Officers are responsiblefor:
- Constructing habitablecamps
- Breaching minefields
- Using explosives to destroy a road or bridge
- Constructing a bridge or ferry
- Building a combat road
In the Regular Force, your work location is not garanteedsince you may be asked to work anywhere in Canada. However, if youonly want to work in your area, the Reserve Force may be analternative. Military personnel can be asked to work on atypicalschedules. Salary increases according to the rank and experience ofthe member according to the rates of pay applicable on April 1,2017.
