Position: Heritage Presenter I
Location: Queens County (Shelburne)

Parks Canada has released a notice of hiring eligible candidates for the post of Heritage Presenter I. Candidates who are eligible and willing to join this post can apply for this post. They’re appointed at this post to deliver interpretive presentations, programs and activities to provide visitors of the park, historic site or marine conservation. Registration for this post has already started and it will end soon.

Candidates must have completed 2 years of secondary school or PSC-approved alternatives Successful completion of a minimum of 1 course relevant to the duties of the position to be eligible for this post.

Candidates must attain dedicated experience in delivering program information or demonstrations to groups, in person, for education, engagement or entertainment.

Candidates must respond to client needs in a professional, helpful, and courteous manner, regardless of the client’s attitude.

They’re also appointed to deliver presentations using effective communication techniques working at this post.

Candidates must actively engage visitors in conversations with an educational purpose.

They must attain dedicated knowledge of gardening, farm animal care, music, theatrical performance, and blacksmithing.

Candidates must be able to identify and act on issues or problems in their area of responsibility instead of waiting for the problem to solve itself.

They must be able to assist other team members and deal with conflict in a constructive manner within the team.

Candidates must have to wear a reproduction 18th-century costume or Parks Canada uniform as per the uniform policy to be eligible for this post.

They must have to work in varied terrains and inclement or hot weather conditions.

Work setting

Candidates must perform shift-based work, and weekends weekends-based work to be eligible for this post.
