Position: Educational Assistant Substitute Positions Available

Join our team as a Substitute Educational Assistant, providing crucial behavioral support to students from Pre-K to high school in Red Deer. This casual role offers opportunities to work across various grade levels on short notice, Monday through Friday.

We are looking for motivated individuals for Substitute Educational Assistant positions in Red Deer. Candidates should be comfortable offering behavioral support to students with complex needs. A background in education or hands-on experience working with children is highly valued, as is the ability to operate independently and lift students when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver behavioral support to various grade levels

• Assist children with challenging behaviors effectively

• Operate independently with little supervision

• Provide necessary toileting assistance for students

• Must be available for shifts on short notice

Requirements:

• Educational assistant certificate or a related diploma preferred

• Experience with complex needs is advantageous

• Good problem-solving skills required

• Must be able to assist Pre-K to high school students

• A current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check is mandatory
