SD48 is looking for a qualified Physical Health Educator for a 1.0 F.T.E. term position at Pemberton Secondary School. Candidates must possess relevant teaching experience and a B.C. Teaching Certificate. The educator will work collaboratively with peers, mentor students on career opportunities, and utilize diverse pedagogical strategies. Familiarity with BC educational frameworks is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and co-assess interdisciplinary lessons collaboratively

• Facilitate student's reflection on personal interests and careers

• Use technology for classroom instruction and student support

• Implement BC Curriculum with a focus on inclusivity

• Integrate Indigenous pedagogies and assessments in teaching

Requirements:

• Possession of a valid B.C. Teaching Certificate

• Relevant teaching experience in Physical Health Education

• Understanding of BC Curriculum and Resilience frameworks

• Relevant university training or equivalent qualifications

• Experience in multi-age learning environments
