Position: Engaging Historical Interpreter Role

As a Historical Interpreter, you will work to enhance visitors' understanding of Ontario’s past through various programs at sites such as Sainte-Marie among the Hurons.

Your role includes performing demonstrations, leading tours, and developing educational content that resonates with a wide audience. Flexibility to work varied hours is essential in this engaging seasonal position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead guided tours focusing on 17th and 19th-century history

• Deliver engaging programs for school groups and visitors

• Demonstrate traditional crafts and historical practices

• Maintain and present artifacts and historic areas

• Support special event planning and execution

Requirements:

• Valid class 'G' driver's license or equivalent

• Experienced in historical education or related fields

• Knowledge of traditional trades and their historical context

• Excellent public speaking abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools
