Middle School Teacher Grades 7-8

Position: Middle School Teacher for Grades 7-8
Location: Saanich

Empower Middle School students as a Homeroom Teacher for Grades 7 and 8. Deliver Ontario Curriculum-aligned lessons while guiding students through their formative teenage years with compassion and expertise.

The ideal candidate will provide instruction in subjects such as Science and History while also nurturing students’ Islamic identity through deep, meaningful discussions. You will maintain a positive classroom culture where respect and accountability thrive, preparing students for a successful transition to high school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Ontario Curriculum-aligned instruction in all subjects

• Foster independence and critical thinking skills

• Implement engaging discussion-based strategies

• Maintain a fair and respectful classroom environment

• Administer various assessments and communicate progress

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree; OCT certification preferred

• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience

• Strong subject-area knowledge for Grades 7 and 8

• Effective classroom management skills

• Deep commitment to educational values and Islamic identity
