Public Works Project Technologist

Position: Public Works Project Technologist Role
Location: Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake)

Elevate urban infrastructure initiatives as a Public Works Project Technologist. This position requires planning, development, and execution of capital projects while traveling to remote First Nation communities.

The Public Works Project Technologist will report to the Public Works Manager, acting as a vital resource and advisor. Applicants should have a background in Technology or Technician fields and must possess or work towards OACETT and OBOA certifications. Strong communication skills and familiarity with First Nation community engagement are crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on capital project planning and development

• Implement project strategies in consultation with stakeholders

• Travel frequently to remote First Nation communities

• Interpret plans and specifications for projects

• Provide expert guidance to the Public Works team

Requirements:

• Graduate in Technology or Technician related fields

• Certification in OACETT and OBOA or eligibility

• Valid Ontario's Driver’s License and access to a vehicle

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with First Nation communities
