Position: Terracon Geoscientist Position Available
Location: Northeastern Alberta (Fort Chipewyan)

Terracon is hiring a Geoscientist in Fort McMurray to lead field-based assessments focused on civil engineering and environmental projects. This role is slated to begin in June or July 2026, offering full-time work in diverse settings.

As a Geoscientist, you will engage with geological materials, oversee QA/QC processes, and contribute to impactful mining and infrastructure projects. Emphasizing Terracon’s core values, you will participate in site inspections and data collection while forging important client relationships. This position requires a passion for learning and ability to work in physically demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in geological assessments and site sampling

• Monitor and inspect construction and soil testing operations

• Support multi-discipline project teams in compliance

• Prepare and review technical project documentation

• Build strong relationships with project stakeholders

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in Geoscience or relevant field

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Physical capability for fieldwork under varying conditions

• Previous experience in geoscience or technical roles

• Willingness to learn and adapt to project needs
