Responsibilities
Create, update, and issue AutoCAD drawings and plan sets to support the construction of hyperscale data centers.
Prepare layouts using model space and paper space; create scaled viewports; apply consistent annotation, line weights, and plotting settings.
Manage external references (Xrefs), sheet organization, and file paths to maintain stable, coordinated drawing packages.
Support drawing management and document control, including naming conventions, revision tracking, plotting to PDF, and maintaining hard copy sets as required.
Coordinate with CAD/BIM, design, and field teams to incorporate markups, RFIs, and as‑built updates in a timely manner.
Review incoming drawings/markups for completeness and clarity; flag discrepancies and assist with resolution.
Maintain organized project folders and archives; ensure the right information is available to the right stakeholders.
Participate in continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates, and workflows.
Qualifications
Completion of an AutoCAD course at a reputable post‑secondary school.
Minimum three years of Canadian work experience using AutoCAD.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD features, including model space and paper space, managing Xrefs, and creating viewports to scale.
Ability to read and interpret civil, electrical, architectural, and structural drawings.
Ability to switch between metric and imperial scales.
Strong computer skills and file management practices.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Ability to follow instructions, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and maintain a positive, team‑focused attitude.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to a changing workload.
High attention to detail; able to work within a team as well as with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Civil 3D and/or Revit.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
Exposure to BIM/VDC coordination workflows (e.g., working alongside BIM modelers and coordination teams).
Experience supporting mission‑critical or fast‑track construction projects (data centers, industrial, or large commercial).
