Planning Coordinator at Williams Lake

Location: Cariboo and West Okanagan (100 Mile House)

Embark on a fulfilling career as a Planning Coordinator in Williams Lake with West Fraser, balancing fieldwork and office tasks to support timber development. This full-time role is crucial for sustainable practices in forestry.

In this position, you will report to the Planning Superintendent while collaborating with forest professionals on timber planning. Responsibilities include timber reconnaissance, road and cutblock design, and engaging with First Nations and community stakeholders. A minimum of two years’ relevant experience is preferred for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead timber reconnaissance efforts and cutblock designs

• Prepare cutting permits and road permit applications

• Supervise contracts and administrative tasks

• Liaise with First Nations and government agencies

• Embed wildlife and cultural considerations in harvest designs

Requirements:

• RPF or RFT registration or eligibility

• Over 2 years in relevant planning roles

• Strong organizational and analytical skills

• Class 5 driver’s license required

• Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability
